Our Andy Cappers notes on GP1 and handicaps for GP2

At long last His Eminence has graciously given me the green light - no that does not mean that I have seen the light - to publicise the results of GP1.

What does one say about Kitching's Inc. Have they shown their hand too early with three in the top ten? Or has King Kitching inherited a well drilled squad from Roaring Ralph.

Once again Royal Ron's Ramblers have made their usual start with three in the top eleven. But both teams will have to look out for Regal Baker's Gallowgate Gadgies (well football commentators always say that a premier side is at it's most dangerous when a goal down). His Eminence and I are sponsoring telescopes and binoculars to help you look out.

Congratulations to Walker the Wise (after Leeds!!), Bard Brannon, Newton the Newcomer and Hasty Hollingsworth for their actual performances {Nice try but not good enough to beat Andy Capper).

Thinking ahead Royal Ron had better be careful for GP8. The Lady Lorain who was the previous runner to win GP8 twice in a row certainly fell foul of the andicapper this time.

Well our current Race Leader, with compulsory Yellow Jersey, is Madame Michelle. Congratulations on being in that rare breed of people to beat Andy Capper on their first outing. Best of luck next time!!

When His Eminence saw the draft results He expressed concern about Countess Claire (overall winner last series) being as high as tenth position and He dared to challenge the andicapping system.

He eventually was made to understand that Countess (and her two rambling colleagues),Madame, King Kitching's trio, Lord Les (who no doubt will amend this report to state how brilliantly he ran in his capacity as NSP web site person), Startling Sima (it seems only a week ago His Eminence said to me that there is a new runner at NSP who is silly enough to wish to compete in the Grand Prix), Battling Ben and Just Joined Jason will have nastier handicaps next time!!

Please note - SERIOUSLY - that I can not accurately give handicaps for competitors numbered 8, 23, 31, 32, 39, 51, 58, 59, 61, 62, 69, 84, 90, 94, 95, 109, 110, 111 and 116 as they did not compete in THE BLYTH LINKS 10k and I would appreciate some guidance on the capabilities of Dave Stevens such that I can at least make an initial guess.

It is my intention to amend the results of GP2 such that the above numbered competitors finish about half way.

Because of ongoing problems with Andy Capper (46 minutes for 9K last week) his handicap may have to be changed on more than one occasion - unless of course His Eminence introduces "Drug Testing"
